"Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it."
Proverbs 22:6
What is a church without children? We love our kids and we are excited to offer Children's Church (FCC Kids) twice a month. We aim to “train up a child in the way they should go” with teaching time, music and activities! FCC Kids is designed for children ages 4 to 12 and is located in the gym.

Eric & JJ Waddell
Children's Church Leaders
Eric and JJ Waddell are natives of Polk County, NC and share a love story that began in their teenage years at Polk Central High School. Their journey continued through college at App State, leading to their marriage in 2007. After a brief period away, they returned to Polk County, dedicating their time to giving back to the community that holds a special place in their hearts.
Eric, a cybersecurity consultant, and JJ, an elementary school teacher, are not just professionals in their fields but are deeply passionate about family, children, and community.
The Waddell family, with four children of their own, has also opened their hearts and home to numerous foster children. Their involvement in children's ministry and local missions spans over more than 25 years. Eric and JJ are committed to building a Christ-centered, biblical foundation in the hearts and minds of young people. While their own children are now adults, their passion to pass on their experiences and teach solid biblical values remains strong, guiding young hearts to be warriors for Christ.
Eric and JJ's love for their community shines through, and they look forward to continuing their service at FCC and wherever God may lead them next.
